Project Summary

During the 2 years of covid cancellations at Glastonbury, the Festival decided in 2021 to Live steam a series of performances from the farm as a one-off event; “Live from Worth Farm”.

The Live from Worthy Farm Live Stream was like a beacon of positivity for us during the covid shut down of live events.

As a company we had been unable to work on a live event since the lockdown started and both getting the call to work on the event and making the call to let a few people know we had work for them, was a great feeling.

LIBRARY PRODUCTIONS was brought in to deliver both the Artist and Technical Production Management and the Stage Management for the shoot.

Working across the project was challenging as we were working with a TV / Live stream production company who were not versed at the format of festivals or outdoor live performances.

But we all worked as a team to produce something both very beautiful and positive over a very challenging time.

The locations we had to work in are not usually used for high value production live performances; the Stone Circle, the Bee Hive and Bella’s Bridge for example, so the challenge was how to protect the areas and still deliver a high standard performance.  All while covid was still rife and safety of the performers and crew was paramount.

We worked closely with both the BBC, Glastonbury Festival, the live stream production company Driift and the creative team Block 9, to deliver this challenging one-off event.

The Live from Worth Farm went on to win several awards, all of which were very well deserved.

The Live Stream hosted performances from 10 different artists ranging from Coldplay, Haim, Wolf Alice and Damon Albarn, to IDLES and Kano. The show also including the first ever live performance from Tom Yorks new outfit The Smile.

The Live Stream was also broadcast by the BBC during its special coverage of Glastonbury in 2021.
